Kennett is a rapidly growing village at the eastern edge of Cambridgeshire, less than five miles from Newmarket. It is named after the River Kennett, a tributary of the River Lark.
Kennett is surrounded by beautiful countryside, while new developments in the village will have attractive landscaping and include a new primary school, a children’s play area and a cycle path to the railway station. Kentford and Kennett Village Hall and recreation ground is a popular venue for local activities. The earliest parts of the Grade II-listed parish church of St. Nicholas date to the 12th century while the Bell Inn, a former coaching inn, dates from the 16th century. The railway reached Kennett in 1854.
